Square Trinket Tray

The wood used is sustainably sourced locally from trees that have come to the end of there natural lives, storm damaged or felled for being dangerous. The wood is kiln dried for 6-8 weeks to ensure that they will not warp or twist. Once the boards are cut out they are sanded, sanded and sanded some more. This creates a smooth base for the resin art. As resin art is a flow art it goes on liquid before being left to cure for 48 hours. Then it’s back to sanding the backs to remove resin residue and all the boards are finished with a food safe mineral oil to bring up the beauty of the wood grain.
